Trimester 2, Week 6

This term, Miss Cunningham's class has been learning about and writing different styles of poetry.  Our first project: Cut up poetry!  Everyone in the class was really into scouring magazines for inspiration, and the result has added to the colourful walls of our classroom. Below you can see some samples!  Well done team.

Week 8

Hello!

Just a quick note to let you know that students in Miss Cunningham's class will be going to the Hokitika library tomorrow, Friday March 24th. This is to support our recent unit on social inquiry research "Valuing our Past." Students will have the chance to become oriented with the history section of the library, and to choose resources that may be helpful for their projects.

Can't wait!

Week 3

This week, students in Miss Cunningham's class went on an outing to check out local heritage sites in Hokitika. Today we had a chance to catch up and do a bit more research about Hokitika heritage. Have a look below and see what we learned as a class through our research!

Week 1

Kia Ora, Bonjour, and Hello!

We had a great first week in homeroom class, getting to know each other and establishing ourselves as whanau. Together, we decided the kind of classroom environment we would all like to be a part of, and also had a class brainstorm about the students (and teachers ;) we're striving to become.

You can see what we decided in the picture below!

Looking forward to a great year, and make sure to visit Miss Cunningham's Class Learning page on our Junior school website HERE for updated information on what we're up to each day in class.
